Genitourinary Oncologist Position Summary

The Department of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC), Keck Medical Center of USC, seeks an exceptional academic Medical Oncologist with specialty interest in Genitourinary Oncology for a full-time clinical faculty position in the Division of Oncology at Keck Medicine of USC. The Genitourinary Oncologist will be at the Assistant Professor Level or higher and will work with the some of the most influential “Top Doctors in Los Angeles.” This position will have a focus in prostate cancer and genetics, immunotherapy, and/or novel therapeutics.

The Position:

The successful Genitourinary Oncologist will have strong clinical skills and interest in serving a diverse patient population in both private and public clinical practice. Clinical and research interest in Genitourinary (GU) malignancies are required. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine, board certified or eligible in Medical Oncology, and eligible for licensure in California. The Genitourinary Oncologist will be active in the NIH/NCI-funded GU Cancers Program at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. USC oncologists are particularly expert in planning overall therapeutic strategies for treating cancers of the genitourinary system (bladder, prostate, kidney, and testis), female reproductive system, breast, gastrointestinal tract, and lung as well as melanomas and central nervous system (including brain) cancer. Our strong research focus affords patients many treatment options that are not available elsewhere. Patients benefit from standard therapies, new anti-cancer agents, and clinical trials.

Professional Qualifications:

  • M.D., D.O. or M.D./PhD degrees.
  • Current Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine (ABIM certified).
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship training program or have significant work experience in Genitourinary Oncology is required.
  • Unrestricted State of California Medical License (current or eligible) upon appointment and maintain throughout the term of the appointment.
  • Must be appropriately credentialed and accepted as a member of the active staff at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, LAC+USC, Keck Hospital of USC, and other sites deemed necessary by the Professor of Medicine in the Division of Oncology.
  • Clinical and research interest in Genitourinary (GU) malignancies are required.
