OBGYN Residency Program Director Opportunity Description

Sutter Roseville Medical Center (SRMC), a Sutter Health affiliate, seeks to hire an outstanding BC/BE physician educator for the full-time position of Program Director for the GME Obstetrics and Gynecology Program in Roseville, CA (Sacramento Metro Area).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Director of the OBGYN Residency Program has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, and promotion of residents, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care. The Program Director is responsible for the standards, quality, reputation, and ongoing improvement of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.

This residency will be a mixture of inpatient and outpatient practice, with an inpatient call-schedule to be determined. The OBGYN Residency Program Director will divide their time between one’s own clinical practice and the programmatic responsibilities of the OB/GYN Residency Program at SRMC.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent. Necessary qualifications include board certification or eligibility (ABOG or AOBOG), eligibility for a California medical license, and suitable clinical and teaching experience.
