This individual will have high visibility with the leadership of the health system and will grow the department to meet clinical needs in the market, notably to play a significant role in staffing the new state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital in Tulsa, OK.<\/p>\n<p>As the department leader and Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, this high-profile position will be actively involved in departmental administration, teaching medical students and residents, and advancing clinical care excellence.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences provides comprehensive psychiatric services to all age groups and is a regional leader for innovative, evidence-based treatment programs for a variety of mental health, pain, and addiction disorders. Faculty and staff within the department provide broad educational experiences in multifaceted programs while delivering quality care, backed by leading-edge research and exceptional customer service.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Psychiatry Program Highlights:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>As a Carnegie top-tier research university<\/u><\/strong>, OSU is Oklahoma\u2019s land-grant institution and is recognized as one of the top 50 public universities in the U.S. and No. 1 in the state.<u> <\/u><\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Faculty Collaboration:<\/u><\/strong> The department is comprised of 18 Physicians; 40 Adjunct Faculty.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Work Schedule:<\/u><\/strong> Roughly 60% admin, 20% clinical, 20% education\/research.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Call Schedule:<\/u><\/strong> Attending providers provide backup call once every four weeks for OSU Medicine resident clinic, call services could change for the inpatient mental health hospital in the future.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>New Psychiatric Hospital<\/u><\/strong> will have 106 beds.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Patient Caseload:<\/u><\/strong> Exams &amp; procedures are interchangeable in the department\n<ul>\n<li>Behavioral Health: 8,244<\/li>\n<li>Addiction: 5,651<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Specialty Services include: <\/u><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Addiction: 29% (6 Providers)<\/li>\n<li>Adult Psychiatry: 24% (5 Attending Providers) (8 PGY3 Residents) (5 PGY4 Residents)<\/li>\n<li>Child Psychiatry: 19% (4 Attending Providers)<\/li>\n<li>Therapy: 14% (3 Providers)<\/li>\n<li>Testing: 14% (3 Providers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>NIH Grants and Research Opportunities across:<\/u><\/strong> Integrated Care platforms, Collaborative Care, Child Psychiatry Access Programs, Virtual Care etc. Addiction medicine, medically assisted treatment care delivery.
