Penn State Health is particularly interested in individuals with a commitment to inclusive excellence and a history of promoting diversity in their research, teaching, and service. We strongly encourage candidates to apply who can strengthen our culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Penn State Hershey Milton S. Medical Center is one of the top hospitals in the nation in 2022-2023, and is ranked as No. 1 in the Harrisburg metro region and No. 5 in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report.

The Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and the Penn State Hershey Medical Center are actively seeking a leader in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) and additional Heart & Vascular CVIR faculty to join the growing team of six (6) full-time Interventional Radiologists and 2.5 Physician Assistants in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (CVIR) program is part of an innovative Heart & Vascular Institute which has become a national academic model for the delivery of integrated, collaborative, and cutting-edge patient care.

The Penn State Heart & Vascular Institute (PSHVI) is a 63-physician integrated multi-specialty group that includes Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery, CT Surgery, and Cardiology. The CVIR Division at Penn State Hershey Medical Center performs a full range of image-guided interventions and has a strong interventional oncology program, a strong venous disease and ablation program, and a regionally recognized multidisciplinary vascular malformations program.

Working under the academic leadership of Department Chair, Dr. Timothy Mosher, and the Director of the Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Behzad Soleimani, the right candidate will have an opportunity to explore a fully academic track or a hybrid academic and community pathway where teaching is required but dedicated research is secondary to the clinical mission.

Candidates should have interest in developing a high quality, patient focused practice and commitment to excellence to embrace a peer-learning environment while participating in academic and scholarly work.

  • Candidates must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
  • Medical degree: M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program; and completion of an accredited Fellowship Training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. CAQ in Vascular Interventional Radiology, a plus.
  • Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania prior to the start of employment is required.
  • Possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills, have the ability to foster research, and share a commitment to excellence and diversity.

The open rank faculty position will be full time with primary effort to support clinical services and time allowed for academic, scholarly, and administrative efforts. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered.
