Division Chief of REI Opportunity Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, Florida, seeks candidates for the position of CHIEF, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor. There is an option of clinical versus tenure track faculty. Ideally, applicants should have demonstrated experience in leading teams and clinical operations in the practice of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. The Division Chief will have responsibility for supervision and management of the REI faculty and staff, the clinical operations of the practice (IVF and non-IVF), the educational activities for learners at all levels, and research initiatives (both translational and clinical).

The Division of REI at the University of Florida is the only academic REI Practice for a very large geographic area with a reach that extends from Central Florida across state lines. The division and department offer comprehensive care for patients with reproductive endocrinology and infertility needs, including reproductive disorder management, in vitro fertilization, ultrasound, diagnostic hysteroscopy and operative hysteroscopy, fertility preservation, and reproductive surgery.

The UF Health Reproductive Medicine Clinic is a free-standing state-of-the-art IVF and clinical facility in Gainesville, which supports all clinical activities of the division. The clinical office space is over 5,000 sq ft and includes CAP-certified andrology and embryology laboratories. Male infertility services are provided in the REI office in collaboration with a Fellowship-trained male infertility specialist from the UF Department of Urology and with our andrology services.

Professional Qualifications:

  • MD or DO, or equivalent degree is required.
  • Completion of a 4-year, ACGME-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program, and an ACGME-accredited Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship.
  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
  • Licensure by the State of Florida Medical Board is required prior to starting employment.
  • Prior leadership experience in a Reproductive Endocrinology Division is preferred.
