Division Chief of Pediatric Radiology Position Description

The Department of Radiology at the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Medicine seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Radiologist with a subspecialty focus in Pediatric Radiology to lead the Division of Pediatric Radiology. The expanding practice is based at the foremost academic medical center in Lexington, the Albert B. Chandler Medical Center (UK HealthCare), including Kentucky Children’s Hospital (KCH), a top-ranked Best Children’s Hospital with 205 total beds. Under the leadership of the Chair of Radiology, Dr. Elizabeth Oates, the Division Chief of Pediatric Radiology (Assistant Professor or higher) will be responsible for providing the full range of diagnostic examinations and providing consultation to referring physicians at the region’s only Level 1 pediatric and adult trauma center.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent,
  • Completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Radiology,
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR)-certified/board-eligible, or maintain alternate pathways to certification in diagnostic radiology, and
  • Eligibility for full Kentucky medical license and its acquisition prior to start of employment is required.
  • Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
