Great opportunity for a motivated professional (current PDs/APDs/Core Faculty) focused on building a premier GME Family Medicine program with Indiana’s nationally ranked community-based health system

Parkview Health – the largest health system in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio – is seeking an experienced clinician and strategic leader to head the development of a new, fully sponsored Family Medicine Residency Program (6-8 residents per year) as the Program Director. Fort Wayne, Indiana is the region’s hub and consistently ranks as one of the best places to live in the United States.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

Family Medicine Residency program is fully sponsored by Parkview Health Office of GME
New, $12 million hospital addition dedicated to GME program activities and advancement

Current ACGME-accredited specialty programs in OB/GYN, IM, GS, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Transitional Year. Launching additional GME programs in Psychiatry (Program Director position available – accepting applications)

The Family Medicine Residency Program Director reports to the Designated Institutional Official in the Parkview Health Office of GME. All Program Directors are voting members of the Parkview Health GMEC.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:

The founding Family Medicine Residency Program Director will contribute to the application for ACGME accreditation of a new, fully sponsored Family Medicine Residency program located in Fort Wayne, IN. Applicants must possess:

Board Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine or hold credentials deemed equivalent to Certification by the ACGME’s Family Medicine RRC
Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Indiana prior to the start of appointment
