DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Professor or Associate Professor of Nursing for a well-established University in the great state of Texas, to provide quality instruction to Doctoral students and assist in the development of their rapidly growing research facility. In addition to a solid research expertise, this faculty member must be able to provide clinical and academic direction to nurses as they prepare to advance in their career and address the region’s growing healthcare needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral students
- Advise graduate students
- Build intellectually diverse research teams mentor less seasoned faculty, assist in the procurement of funding, and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Serve as mentor to Junior faculty members
- Assist in the procurement of funding
- Publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Serve on master’s and doctoral committees
REQUIREMENTS:
- Terminal degree in nursing or related field of study
- Heavy involvement in research/scholarly activity in their area of expertise
- Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development, public service, high-quality
teaching, and to developing a positive working relationship with colleagues - Must be eligible for licensure in Texas
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with rural and under served populations
- Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
- Professional experience in field of Study
- Highly developed problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability teach a variety of Nursing Courses
