The goal of their Faculty is to provide education through learning-centered instruction that enables students to fulfill the evolving needs of the industry upon graduation. He or she will encourage responsibility and a learning environment that values respect, life-long learning, ethics, as well as personal and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide competency-based education which aligns with the Institution's model of curricula as well as supports the their style of system delivery
- Design and deliver class instruction through the development of instructional plans to meet course competencies, to create activities which support lesson objectives
- Provide instruction which fosters competencies and establish student performance criteria and evaluation
- Promote student's success by showing flexibility in style and work schedule
- Exhibit a passion for teaching, students and engaging students in the learning process
- Manage the learning environment by keeping accurate records including:
- submitting grades and other reports on time
- enforcing school/campus academic and attendance policies
- Contributes to a learning culture through participation in:
- curriculum and system task forces
- supporting local campus events
- orientation
- graduation
- various other workshops and meetings
Requirements
- DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification required
- One to five years experience in instruction or formalized education process
- preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
- Experience as a FNP strongly preferred
- Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent Computer based skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents, develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision, learn from students’ participation, demonstrate fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and show compassion
