The goal of their Faculty is to provide education through learning-centered instruction that enables students to fulfill the evolving needs of the industry upon graduation.  He or she will encourage responsibility and a learning environment that values respect, life-long learning, ethics, as well as personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide competency-based education which aligns with the Institution's model of curricula as well as supports the their style of system delivery
  • Design and deliver class instruction through the development of instructional plans to meet course competencies, to create activities which support lesson objectives
  •  Provide instruction which fosters competencies and establish student performance criteria and evaluation
  • Promote student's success by showing flexibility in style and work schedule
  • Exhibit a passion for teaching, students and engaging students in the learning process
  • Manage the learning environment by keeping accurate records including:
    • submitting grades and other reports on time
    • enforcing school/campus academic and attendance policies
  • Contributes to a learning culture through participation in:
    • curriculum and system task forces
    • supporting local campus events
      • orientation
      • graduation
      • various other workshops and meetings

Requirements

  • DNP or PhD in Nursing with FNP certification required
  • One to five years experience in instruction or formalized education process
    • preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
  • Experience as a FNP strongly preferred
  • Membership in a professional association tied to area of instruction preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
  •  Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent Computer based skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents, develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision, learn from students’ participation, demonstrate fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and show compassion
