The Instructor is to facilitate learning, create a learning environment, and evaluate progression of learning for vocational nursing students. The Instructor must be able to relate well with students, faculty members, and administrators, maintain a calm demeanor during difficult circumstances, and exhibit professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and ensure student compliance with agency protocols and policies and participate in student evaluation process of class/clinical performance
  • Develop and maintain an environment conducive to the teaching/learning process and participate in student progress and retention.Maintaining open lines of communication inter and intra-departmentally and demonstrate

Qualifications:

  • An MSN is required.
  • Be a nurse currently licensed or have privileges to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas; or in accordance with the rules of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Have been actively employed in nursing for the past 3 years or have advanced preparation in nursing, nursing education, and/or nursing administration.
  • 3 years of varied nursing experience since graduation; and
  • Ability to demonstrate teaching abilities and mainlining current knowledge and clinical expertise.
